3D Kitchen Interior in AutoCAD and 3D Max Mental Ray

Some of the rendered models below were done in 3D max, making 3D models in AutoCAD can be very time consuming sometimes and it has its own limitation in making complex geometry. What is good with mental ray is that it has its pre-define textures for architectural purposes.

3D Office Interior Night time in AutoCAD and 3D Max

3D Max has it own powerful tools where you can simulate how design looks like during nigh time. I try some other color for the wall and end up with green. The reflection is not quite accurate obviously because I'm using standard lights. This are all standard materials and scanline render, nothing fancy like using mental ray and vray render

3D Office Interior in AutoCAD and 3D Max

After a series of rendering using AutoCAD 2010, still I’m not satisfy with the result, I conducted a research on the net and found out that 3D max is my best choice since it’s easy to learn and a lot of tutorials can be found on the web.

The image above was my first render using 3D Max mental ray, as you can see, chairs and sofa are floating since ambient occlusion is not set and gamma correction is not well define.

3D Room Interior in AutoCAD 2010

A simple bedroom from scratch and render using AutoCAD 2010. As I discover, putting a lot of 3D geometry to AutoCAD application makes it difficult to use the orbit navigation. Furthermore, there are only few controls when it comes to material texturing .

Building in AutoCAD 2010

I was intrigued one time when I surf the net with collection of home designs that looks like real. Two weeks later I decided to try making 3D drawings using AutoCAD 2010. It's been hard since this is my first time with this type of application. I came up with this very simple 3D design model and render in AutoCAD.
