I recently discover that encrypting files in windows 7 is just simple as ABC, This is very useful when you’re using a shared PC or a PC where anybody has an access. To encrypt your file, follow the steps below.
Before encrypting
After encrypting
1. Open windows explorer
2. Set views to “Details”
3. Now select the file you want to encrypt
4. Right click and rename the file whatever file extension (ex. .dll, .pdf) as long as it is not the same extension with respect to the original file.
To decrypt the file, simply rename the file extension to its original state.
You’re done!
